Freezer meals to prep before baby arrives

Stocking your freezer before your due date is one of the highest-return tasks of the nesting phase. The postpartum period is exhausting and the last thing new parents want to worry about is dinner. The best freezer meals are ones you already like and that reheat well: soups, chilis, lasagna, enchiladas, casseroles, burritos, and meatballs all freeze beautifully.

Breakfast items like egg muffins, pancakes, and breakfast burritos are particularly valuable since they're fast to reheat and work for any meal. Aim for 15–20 meals minimum. Involve family or set up a meal train so friends and extended family know your preferences.

Label everything with the dish name, date, and reheating instructions.
